Professionnal and emerging visual artists.


Content

This workshop will offer artists the opportunity to further develop their creative process and artistic skills.
Artists will learn about creative approaches with plein air painting and printmaking.
Nature and the Ottawa River Landscape will be the theme for developing unique visual art works.  
Artists will use the painting medium of their choice.

Outline- River Works

10:00-10:30 - Sketching

10:30-12:30 - River Printmaking- Develop monotypes based on nature and the river theme.

12:30 - Lunch

1:00 - 4:00 River Painting- Develop paintings based on nature and the river theme.

4:00 - Group discussion of the day’s work


Trainer: Robert Hinchley

Robert Hinchley is a painter and printmaker. He graduated from the Ontario College of Art (OCAD U) in Toronto with honours. His recent work is connected to the natural environment and the expressive quality of the medium. In 2009, he received the “Jurors Award” at the Shenkman Art Centre’s, International Printmaking exhibition. In 2012, he had a solo exhibition at the South of 60 Art Centre in Barry’s Bay Ontario. Hinchley’s work is in the collection of the Carleton University Art Gallery, the City of Ottawa Public Art Collection, and the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation. Hinchley is the 2014 recipient of the Gordon J. Wood Print Purchase Prize at the Carleton University Art Gallery. Robert Hinchley is represented by Galerie StLaurent+Hill and Gallery 3.

Si un participant annule son inscription, il doit le faire par écrit ou par téléphone 10 jours ouvrables avant la formation pour recevoir un remboursement complet. Culture Outaouais se réserve le droit d’annuler un cours si le nombre d’inscriptions est jugé insuffisant. Les frais d’inscription seront alors remboursés.
